Shaded shapes
Drawn from what i was looking at on the table, getting the perspective right was the most difficult part and then afterword getting the shades correct.
prisma shade
more difficult then grey shading but i used blue shades to try and create the same shading effect as before.

SELF EVALUATION QUESTIONS FOR STILL LIFE PROJECT
1. I tried arranging everything close together when I was choosing what to draw. I tried not to leave a lot of negative space in the picture I was going to draw.
2. I tried to incorporate a wide range of values in my drawing by using about 6 or 7 different pencils and but i hope i learn more and get better at shading.
3. Practicing shading geometric shapes before this definitely helped and gave me the knowledge to kind of know where the darker tones go and how to make them present.
4. I applied more pressure and used the softer lead for the darker areas although it would smear in the folder and kind of take away the value but i still tried to make it visible.
5. The interpretation of texture is definitely important since it'd give it depth and make it more realistic looking.
6. If i were to recreate this piece then i'd try to make it neater and probably choose a different angle of the items to draw.

Value charts
Getting the values into each square and making it lighter from left to right was a challenge but helped practice the technique.
Pen textures
I feel like I have the light source down besides with the cross-hatching which seemed to be more of a challenge for me.
Stippling worksheet
2 texture worksheet
This worksheet helped me the most in forming ideas for my 100 textures since it gave me a overview of many possible textures I could use.
Drawing from videos
Getting the dimensions right with the shape was difficult but good practice.
Landscape
100 Squares
For my 100 textures, I found it fun trying to think of more patterns but also challenging having to incorporate different shades and elements into them.

1. Describe how you arranged your composition. Discuss your use of the elements and principles. Is it a successful composition?
>I mainly used my 100 textures patterns for ideas and would place them where I thought they'd look best, so yes I believe it is a successful composition.
2. How are texture and pattern important in your composition?
> It gives the buildings more of an effect and makes them pop out.
3. Why is value so important in this project?
> Value is important in this project because it gives you a sense of where you can see dimension more and give it the effect of one object being in front of or behind another.
4. Describe your craftsmanship (How well the project is crafted technically).
> Based on my level of art I believe this project was crafted good but I could definitely improve if I keep on practicing.
5. Explain how your knowledge and creating practice studies with value and pattern contributed to the success of your piece.
> Making the textures fit with each of the pieces they were on was interesting. I tried to incorporate a darker value on objects that were behind others to make it more realistic.
6. When applying the pen and ink/pattern techniques why and how is it important to make sure you understand the concepts taught in class?
> It's important to know where to add a darker or lighter value and HOW to do it.
7. As a growing artist how do you think what you have learned will guide and better your future projects. Explain.
> It will help me incorporate and think about adding value and the textures an item has.
8. If you could recreate your piece what would you do differently to enhance your final outcome?
> If I could recreate this piece I would try to work on the darker values and adding more stuff to the empty spaces.

Prisma composition
Prisma fruit/veggie
Definitely was harder than it looks for me especially getting the shade right and finding the right colors.
Pastel practice
Pastel fruit/veggie
mixing the pastel was more difficult to me than with prisma but I am happy with the outcome.
Water color practice
